The LExAu project is in its planning phase still. There is a reasonably usable distribution. To use it you need to have a Java Development Kit (JDK) installed (in official SUN terminology: a J2SE SDK). The JDK contains an archiving tool named 'jar' that can be used to unpack the zip file:

jar xvf zip-file

Alternatively, you can check out the source files from cvs. Read the README to check the prerequisites for compiling these source files.
